2. Adlerbert Study Scholarships
at Chalmers University of Technology

Students who excel during their first year of studies may receive an increased reduction, which covers 85% of the tuition fees during the second and final year of studies.
How to apply for scholarships administered by Chalmers
Before submitting your application for a scholarship, you must register online with at least one of the Master’s programs offered by Chalmers at the website universityadmissions.se.
In addition, an 8-digit number will be assigned to you (application number at universityadmissions.se), and this number has to be entered during the application process.
3. Dalarna University Scholarships
Another known scholarship in Sweden for international students is the Dalarna University scholarship.
Each year, Dalarna University provides partial scholarships to a select group of new overseas fee-paying Master’s students who have demonstrated academic excellence.
Scholarship Amount:
The scholarships will cover between 10% and 50% of your entire tuition fees and will go straight towards a decrease in your tuition rates. Throughout your studies, the cash you are given is automatically removed in specified amounts each semester.
Scholarships for new students
Tuition fee waivers are only given to students enrolled in an on-campus Master’s degree program. You only have to apply for your scholarship once, and it must be done before the start of your program.
Selection criteria:
Dalarna University offers all students with outstanding academic results a reduction of their tuition fees for continued studies at Dalarna University. However, to qualify for this reduction in tuition fees, you must:
- Must have studied at least one semester (Master’s level) or two semesters (Bachelor’s level) within a degree program at Dalarna University.
- Must be continuing the same degree program for at least one more semester of full-time study.
- Must have achieved at least 50% results of VG or 5/4, depending on the grading scale used.
- Must be verified as “outstanding” by the faculty in your program.
The value of this scholarship is a 10,000 SEK tuition fee waiver for each remaining semester of full-time studies in the program you are currently studying. In addition, applications for this scholarship should be made no later than 3 weeks before the start of the new semester.
4. The Karolinska Institutet Global Master’s Scholarships
Each autumn semester, Karolinska Institutet awards a limited number of tuition fee scholarships to outstanding students who have been accepted into one of the Global Master’s Programs.
The number of scholarships available varies from year to year, but there is a maximum of 10 scholarships available each year, distributed throughout all Global Master’s Programs.

- The KI Global Master’s Scholarship only covers the tuition fee (or part of the tuition fee for programs only partially given by Karolinska Institutet). Travel, living expenses, and other costs must be met with other funding.
- Global Master’s Scholarship only covers tuition fees for students enrolled in a Global Master’s Program at Karolinska Institutet and cannot be used for other studies.
